overview
With over 75 miles of coastline to cover, San Diego represents one of the largest chapters of the Surfrider Foundation. We are a grassroots organization, which means the people working to protect our local oceans, waves and beaches are volunteers who care about San Diego and want to make a difference.
Our members, supporters and volunteers meet monthly to discuss issues affecting our local coastlines. These meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month. We also have meetings focused on our various campaigns and programs. These meetings are scheduled monthly or quarterly and are open to everyone.
We strive to be a strong voice in the community, and we are even stronger when we have more voices, so if you are interested in getting more involved, we encourage you to do so. Your local beach and break deserve your input and Surfrider Foundation is the perfect vehicle for your voice. Even if you don’t have a lot of time to help, simply joining really helps our cause. Our oceans, waves and beaches need your help!
