As a member, you will receive our chapter newsletter which provides vital information on important coastal issues affecting your local beach. You will also receive our weekly online publication SOUP and our bi-monthly publication Making Waves, which are focused on our campaigns, programs and initiatives around the world. The money raised by the San Diego Chapter will go towards programs in San Diego County such as beach cleanups, water quality testing, education, printing and distribution of outreach materials, and other local chapter needs.
The Surfrider Foundation currently has approximately 60,000 members. Growing this membership base provides Surfrider Foundation with the opportunity to educate individuals and communities about their role as stewards for our coastal and marine environments. Growing our grassroots structure is critical to our mission and our annual membership drive is a perfect opportunity to reach new members and educate people about the important work of the Surfrider Foundation.
