Hands Across the Sand is an international grassroots movement to demonstrate local opposition to offshore drilling and support for clean energy.
At 12pm local time on August 4th, thousands of people will join hands at events around the world to send a message to our government officials. Surfrider Foundation is a major partner supporting the event and our engagement would not be possible without our local efforts.
Join us on Saturday, August 4th at 12pm at La Jolla Shores as we join hands and draw a line in the sand to say NO to offshore drilling and YES to clean energy. Please arrive at 11:45am. We will join hands at 12pm for fifteen minutes. Meet in front of the restrooms just north of the parking lot.
