California American Water is offering free Ocean Friendly Gardening Classes and Hands-On Workshops!In these classes and workshops, you will learn how to take the first step in turning your yard into an Ocean Friendly Garden. Evaluate your current landscape’s strengths and weaknesses, develop a plan to reduce water use, keep more rainwater on your property, and improve soil quality.
There will be a California Friendly Landscape Training on October 11th from 9am-12pm at the Montgomery Waller Recreation Center, 3020 Coronado Avenue; a Site Evaluation Workshop on October 25th from 10am-1pm at the Montgomery Waller Recreation Center; and a Turf Removal and Grading from Rain Workshop on November 15th from 9am-12pm and a Planting and Irrigation Workshop on November 15th from 1-4pm at Montgomery Waller Community Park, on the Corner of Palm Ave and Beyer Blvd.
