The Surfrider Foundation San Diego County Chapter and San Diego Coastkeeper coordinate public beach cleanups several times each month. We host a monthly beach cleanup at the Oceanside Pier on the first Saturday of every month, a North County beach cleanup (Oceanside to Torrey Pines) on the second Saturday, a cleanup at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas on the third Saturday and on the fourth Saturday we clean up a beach in South County (La Jolla to Imperial Beach).  Note: there are no beach cleanups scheduled for December.

We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable bag, bucket, grabber or work gloves.  We will continue to supply bags, buckets, gloves and grabbers but we are moving away from single-use items of this nature.  Help us Rise Above Plastics by bringing your own reusable supplies and reducing your plastic footprint!

Please wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen.  Also, don’t forget your reusable cup or bottle.  Water will be provided and we will have limited cups on hand.
