'Tulip Fusilage' by Allison Renshaw

 

“I always listen to music when I paint,” says Renshaw, who makes her home in Encinitas — and her art is as much about creating a visual rhythm probably more than it is any kind of commentary on our world.

Allison Renshaw lives and works in Encinitas, California.  She was born and raised in Orange County, California and received a BA degree in economics from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.  She earned her MFA degree from Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.

Allison just had a solo exhibition at Mirus Gallery in San Francisco titled, “Better Thank Candy.” Recent exhibitions include the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and the Oceanside Museum of Art.  She is represented by Quint Contemporary Art in La Jolla.

Allison is an associate faculty member at MiraCosta College in Cardiff, California.

In her free time she enjoys surfing, running, skiing, paddleboarding, and hiking with her husband Rich Williams and their son Atticus

This piece combines airplane parts, car interiors, fashion acrylic,oil and collage....
