With a name like that it’s got to be good! We are stoked to feature two pieces this year from John Holm. “As a California native I have surfed and painted the coast since the 60’s. I am an aficionado of early California painting, especially the Monterey Tonalists. I am also fascinated by the history of the 19th Century coast and the vision of those unridden breaks. The spiritual element of water and the “Brotherhood of the brine” is very compelling to me as a painter.” John’s work has appeared in Surfers Journal and other surf publications.
