Cherrie La Porte has donated a mosaic glass surfboard with a 3D-fused stained glass surface.  This recycled surfboard is from an Australian shaper named DHD.  The board was damaged in the Indonesia surf and re-purposed into this amazing piece of art.

Cherrie designs and handcrafts her distinctive art glass collection, mosaic glass surfboards, jewelry and bronze sculptures to capture arrays of texture, color and form in a collection that stirs and inspires the imagination.  Her art collection is a varied mix of glass, recycled surfboards, bronze, metal and found objects created into sculptures and jewelry.  Her pieces are fluid in movement, full of energy and bursting in color.  Cherrie makes art her life, is making a living at it, and encourages clients, students and friends in their pursuit of an aesthetically balanced life. Customers include local and international collectors. Her goal is to continue to grow in the art of creating beautiful objects that enrich lives.
