Nicole Boramanand is the artist owner of beachradish images®. Described as impressionist photography, Nicole’s work lives at the intersection of traditional documentary photography and painted landscapes – placing mood and feeling over discreet subject. She uses conventional techniques in unconventional ways, with all of her effects created in-camera. Her art is inspired by the beautiful world in which we live. Nicole lives in Ocean Beach with her better half, Jim, and their two dogs, Elvis & Milo.
Nicole has donated her piece entitled #6 to our Art Gala. You can come check it out on May 8th along with many other unique pieces by getting your tickets here!
“People say that San Diego doesn’t have seasons, but for those of us who live here, we know the subtle signs of spring and summer. “#6” is one of those signs … that time of year when the lifeguard towers come out of winter hibernation and prepare for the impending Spring Break and summer crowds. It’s a little bittersweet – knowing these quiet mornings will soon be shared with happy vacationers and beach revelers. But it’s also why we love and protect our beaches – so they can be shared for generations to come. “#6” is a limited edition 16”x24” print on 200 year archival Arches® watercolor paper; it is matted and framed in sustainable pressed olive wood. It is sure to bring the warmth of summer into any office or living space!”
