According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, by the end of the century, there could be up to 100 more days per year with temperatures above 90°F (32°C) in Southern California due to climate change. Other climate change impacts include sea level rise, increased smog, drought and more extreme weather. This is why we are please to announce our guest speakers for the Paddle, Nicole Capretz of the Climate Action Campaign and Emily Young of the San Diego Foundation!! They will speak about what we can do to mitigate climate change in San Diego.
This year’s art was provided by San Diego artist Jarad Lazar. Thank you to all of our sponsors, contributors, and participants for making this year’s event possible!
