In Cuba, where people fled in mass from Fidel Castro’s regime, most water recreation became banned. Today, surfing exists in a murky legal gray area. In response, a group of passionate Cuban surfers is determined to carve out a place for surfing in Cuba and within the country’s culture of athletic excellence.
