Cali Bamboo a green construction materials company hosted its first Surfrider San Diego Chapter event, a screening of the acclaimed documentary Bag It at their headquarters in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego. A crowd of almost 40 turned out to learn about the effects of single use plastics on our environment and our bodies. Several vendors supplies tasty beverages including coffee by Revolution Roasters and vitamin shakes by personal Wellness Coach Andrea Holeman. Following the film, Surfrider's Scott Harrison, who is also featured in the film, hosted a Q&A session and suggested ways attendees can get more involved and spread awareness. Thanks to all who came out and helped make the plastics-free event a resounding success.
