California Sea Lions by Matthew Meier

This photo was taken off the Coronado Islands just south of San Diego in Baja California, Mexico.  There is a California Sea Lion rookery on the northern most island where the adults rear their young from spring through fall.  Sea lions, especially the young, are curious of divers and will often come to investigate.  On this particular day, a dozen or more swam down to see me and I was lucky to capture this large group, while they were all looking at the camera.
