You won't believe this, but we need your help to Save Trestles...yet again!
Despite the road being rejected by both the California Coastal Commission and the Bush Administration in 2008, toll road developers remain undeterred and are trying to build the road in segments. Back in June 2013, we stopped the Transportation Corridor Agency from securing a permit from the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) to build the first segment of the road. The toll road developers appealed that decision to the state board and the state board upheld the original decision. But they just won't quit!
Never fear, the Surfrider Foundation and Save San Onofre Coalition are here and we're monitoring the toll road developers and are strategically working together to halt their Tesero Extension project.
Please join us on Monday, March 16th starting at 9am at NTC Liberty Station McMillin Companies Event Center, 2875 Dewey Road, for the RWQCB hearing where they are scheduled to 'adopt its final findings'. RSVP via the Facebook event and please invite your friends!
