As part of its mission “to prevent further drastic changes to our ocean, waves, and beaches by reducing emission of greenhouse gases and to adapt responsibly to changes already occurring,” the chapter's STOP (Sea-level-rise, Temperature Rise, Ocean Acidification, Prevention and Adaptation) committee asks that the City of Del Mar adopt a strong Climate Action Plans with a goal to drastically reduce carbon emissions.
