As part of the Surf Spot monitoring program the San Diego chapter is doing for RBSP II, we were able to capture some great shots of the beach fill as it was being piped in and spread out to form the new beach. The video is missing a couple of days, but I think we caught a good view that really illustrates the large amount of sand that was placed along IB. According to Shelby Tucker at SANDAG, the project placed 450,000 cubic yards of new sand on 3,000+ feet of beach between Elder Avenue and the south end of Seacoast Drive.
