Action Alert for Wednesday, March 17

The City of Oceanside is hosting a public workshop on their proposed Marine Debris Reduction Ordinance today, March 17, at 2pm.

If you are able, please call in supporting the Zero Waste Plan update and urge/ask City Council to bring the Marine Debris Reduction Ordinance back to council for a vote in June.

Register to speak and/or submit written comments by emailing the Oceanside City Clerk, cityclerk@oceansideca.org, before 1:00pm on Wednesday. If you cannot attend or speak but want to show your support, click the button below for a pre-written email adressed to the Council (and feel free to customize it)!

The agenda and related documents, details on submitting written comments, and Zoom participation information are available HERE.

For more information, general Tips for Commenting on City Council Agenda Items can be found HERE, and Single-Use Plastics Fact Sheets are available HERE.

Thanks to our RAP Lead, Janis Jones, for putting this together and staying vigilantly engaged with Oceanside!
