Eagle Spots by Randy Doering

Eagle Spots by Randy Doering

This unique piece by Randy Doering titled “Eagle Spots” is an aluminum plate canvas, patina acid etched, and airbrushed paint, with a clear coat sealer. The artwork depicts a camouflaged Eagle Ray against the waters reflection. Randy began working as a child on his family’s cattle ranch, and his grandfather was his inspiration because he made and fixed anything from metal that the ranch needed. Randy got his BFA in metalsmithing from Kansas State University and later moved to Oahu in 2005 where he worked with one of the best glass sculpture professors in the country – Rick Mills. September 2011 was the inauguration of Randy’s Metal Method Company, which is his design and fabrication studio that focuses on creating functional fine art for residential and corporate settings.
