After more than two years of collecting data, the San Diego County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation just published their second annual report on the Surf Monitoring Study. The study was designed to track changes in how 5 local surf spots responded to the large influx of sand from Regional Beach Sand Project II (RBSP II). This information will be presented to the SANDAG Shoreline Preservation Workgroup on May 1st, 2014.
This study would not have been possible without all of the countless hours and effort from Tom Cook, our Beach Preservation Co-Chair, and the Beach Preservation volunteers who helped collect the data.
