Night for the Sea

Have fun, and feel good doing it.

Join us at the Seaside room in Marina Village on Sunday, July 28th for our Fundraiser and Silent Auction Event.

 

 

Sunday, July 28th at Marina Village, 5:00 - 10:00 pm

Enjoy an evening of tasty bites, crisp brews, exciting auction items, and live music. "Night for the Sea" raises critical funds that supports your San Diego County Surfrider Foundation in protecting our ocean, waves, and beaches, for ALL people.

Included with your ticket:

  • Beautiful Views: Enjoy the stunning scenery that makes our region so unique and precious.
  • Delicious Food & Drinks: Savor an array of vegetarian food to satisfy your cravings and beverages that highlight the best of local cuisine. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
  • Silent Auction: Bid on an exciting variety of items and experiences, with all proceeds supporting our mission to safeguard our coastal environments.
  • Live Music: Groove to the rhythm of live performances by talented local musicians.
  • Community Celebration: Celebrate our coastal victories and the dedicated efforts of our coastal defenders.

First Wave

Silent Auction

A big THANK YOU to all our silent auction donors! We are going back to pen and paper. You must attend in-person to bid on auction items. No items will be shipped. Silent auction will run from 5-8pm.

Live Music

You'll be greeted by the instrumental artistry of COYO as you walk into the Seaside Room. They'll set the vibe for the evening before Paul Sage Cannon, featuring Nasrin Noelani, takes the stage after the silent auction closes.

Public Transportation

From the North: Public transportation is available via San Diego MTS Bus Route 8. Get off at W Mission Bay Dr & Dana Landing (Stop ID #11131). Cross W Mission Bay Dr. towards Quivira Rd. Turn left (towards San Diego Whale Watch). Head to the path in the back of the buildings along the bay and boats. Stay on the path towards Seaforth Sportfishing. When you arrive to Marina Village Conference Center look for the Seaside Room located along the water (about 11 minutes, 0.5 miles). 

From the South: Public transportation is available from the Old Town Transit Center via San Diego MTS Bus Route 8. Get off at W Mission Bay Dr & Quivira Rd. (Stop ID #10372). Head towards San Diego Whale Watch on Quivira Rd. Head to the path in the back of the buildings along the bay and boats. Stay on the path towards Seaforth Sportfishing. When you arrive to Marina Village Conference Center look for the Seaside Room located along the water (about 11 minutes, 0.5 miles). 

Driving Directions

FROM THE 5:

1. Exit Sea World Drive. Turn RIGHT if you have exited going south, turn LEFT if you have exited going north.

2. Continue on Sea World Drive for about 2 miles.

3. West Mission Bay Drive will be on your right, just beyond the lanes marked with arrows to Sea World’s entrance.

4. Stay in the right-hand lane, continue around loop to right.

5. After loop, merge all the way to the furthest left lane.

6. At red light (Quivira Road), go left.

7. Go left again immediately (Quivira Way).

8. Continue about a half mile.

9. We are on the right-hand side, past Seaforth. See image below.

FROM THE 8 WEST:

1. Take 8 West to the “Beaches” exit, past I-5.

2. Exit West Mission Bay Drive on the right.

3. Stay in the right-hand lane and continue over the bridge.

4. After the bridge ends, West Mission Bay Drive continues on about 100 yards UNDER the overpass, and curves in a loop to the right. Do NOT continue straight on Ingraham.

5. After loop, merge all the way to the furthest left lane.

6. At red light Quivira Road, go left.

7. Go left again immediately (Quivira Way).

8. Continue about a half mile.

9. We are on the right-hand side, past Seaforth. See image below.
