Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, Maia Negre was surrounded by arts her entire life, starting with a musical education from a very young age. At the age of 17, she began painting and has not stopped since. Maia obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio painting and a minor in business from San Jose State University and currently resides in Santa Cruz, CA.
Maia's paintings show her passion for the ocean, sports, and the California culture in general. As an athlete and an artist, her work reflects energy and action combined with ethereal aesthetics.
Maia's work is exhibited all over California at both public and private events, and her work is collected and commissioned by art lovers and businesses worldwide.
