We did it! Surfrider San Diego's Ocean Friendly Restaurant team has certified 100 local restaurants as ocean friendly. We invite everyone to come out to Wheat & Water Restaurant in La Jolla on Thursday, October 12th from 6-9pm to help us celebrate this amazing achievement! Bring your friends and family with you to enjoy live music, games, raffle prizes, etc. There will be all you can eat pizza, salad, and beer (for those who are 21 and up)!
What makes a restaurant ocean friendly?
To be considered an ocean friendly restaurant the establishment must follow these four criteria:
- No Styrofoam use!
- Only reusable tableware is provided for onsite dining!
- Proper recycling practices are followed throughout the restaurant!
- Plastic bags are not used to carry out foods!
