Hands Across the Sand is Back!
May 21st, 9 a.m.
Hands Across the Sand is an international day of action bringing coastal residents, business owners, and beachgoers from across the political spectrum together. Join us to unite against dirty and dangerous offshore drilling and seismic airgun blasting. And we’re back together in person this year!
The event will begin at 9 a.m. when we hear briefly from a few local elected and community leaders about putting an end to offshore oil. After, folks will gather on the sand in a moment of protest, making a line between the ocean and the land. While we will be in person this year, we will not be holding hands like in years past, as per covid protocol.
Once we have concluded, you’re welcome to stay and join us for our regularly scheduled beach cleanups!
