Started in 2005, International Surfing Day is an international celebration of the love of surfing. The day was established by Surfrider and partners to raise awareness and support for our world's beaches and coastal environments.
Now in it's 13th year, ISD has grown into the largest global activation for Surfrider each year, with more than 200 events taking place worldwide. On International Surfing Day, we take a moment to celebrate the impact we've made, the campaigns we've won and the beaches we've protected.
This International Surfing Day, let's spread the joy, excitement and pure stoke that the beach and surfing provides all of us.
Join us on Saturday, June 17th at Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas for a full day of beach, surf and fun. We'll start the day with a beach cleanup from 9-11am. From there we'll be celebrating on the beach with a raffle, games, surfing and more!
