Learn About California Native Plants

Join us for our next chapter meeting on Wednesday, April 18th from 7-8:30pm at the California Center for Sustainable Energy, located at 8690 Balboa Avenue, Suite 100.

Our guest speaker this month is Susan Krzywicki of our Ocean Friendly Gardens Committee, who will be speaking about California native plants.

Susan Krzywicki, owner of Krzywicki Consulting, a California native landscaping firm, is also a consultant to Rainscape Environmental Management.  Susan is a board member for the California Native Plant Week and Chair of the California Native Plant Society Gardening Committee.  Susan has been a judge for the Wild Ones Seeds for Education program and she is also overseeing the upcoming San Diego Native Plant Garden Tour.  Susan's forte is putting native plants into context and helping homeowners, commercial property owners and associations to use natives in stylish and bright new ways.  She teaches in the San Diego County Regional Occupational Program, Sustainable Landscape Horticulture to high school students, industry workers and adults interested in pursuing careers in sustainable landscape maintenance.
