This meeting will be focused on our Rise Above Plastics program and their exciting new Ocean Friendly Restaurants (OFR) campaign. Restaurants have the power to greatly reduce their impact on San Diego County’s oceans and beaches on many fronts. This campaign includes a certification system to recognize those restaurants that take positive steps to protect the environment by rising above plastics. We will introduce the issue of marine plastic pollution with a short film, followed by a skit and a presentation on Ocean Friendly Restaurants. There are many opportunities to get involved with this campaign, so please come out to learn what you can do to help.
