PB Ashcan Revitalization/Installation Project

On Sunday, September 28th from 9am-12:30pm our Hold On To Your Butt (HOTYB) committee will be revitalizing our ashcans in Pacific Beach, replacing dilapidated stickers, and installing new ashcans. HOTYB volunteers, along with our partners I Love A Clean San Diego and Discover PB, will hit the streets to replace eight older ashcans and install fourteen new ones. We will also be doing some cig butt cleanup at the installation locations.

This is a great opportunity to take part in our HOTYB ashcan program and help us meet our goal of installing the 200th ashcan in San Diego County by the end of the summer. We have seen a 65% decrease in cigarette butt litter where ashcans have been installed and we need your help to continue this effort. So if you want to learn the art of installing an ashcan, apply some new stickers, and have some fun, please join us!

We will meet at Discover PB, 1503 Garnet Avenue, at 9am on Sunday, September 28th. If you plan on volunteering please sign-up by clicking here.

There will also be an after party for all volunteers at Fred's Mexican Cafe (1165 Garnet Avenue) immediately following the event. We hope you can make it out!!!
