Our Policy Coordinator joined a panel hosted by City of SD Councilmember Joe La Cava to discuss why we advocate for 'managed retreat' from the coastline. The panel featured sea level rise experts of the likes of Dr. Mark Merrifield, who spoke about sea level rise projections modeled by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Darbi Berry, who discussed regional coordination around coastal resilience led by the San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative.
