Follow the TransparentSea Voyage down the coast

On Sunday, October 23rd from 9-11am we will be cleaning up Pacific Beach Drive along with members of Surfers for Cetaceans and Surfaid as part of the TransparentSea voyage.

TransparentSea is an ongoing awareness campaign aimed at highlighting coastal environmental issues with particular attention given to cetaceans (whales and dolphins) and the waters they inhabit.

The journey, which was conceptualized by freesurfer Dave Rastovich began in Australia and is now here in California.  The members of the voyage are following the southern migration of the California Grey Whale throughout the month of October, starting in Santa Barbara and ending in San Diego.  Along the way they'll be engaging with key community groups and drawing attention to the causes they support.  They will also be hosting fundraisers for Surfers for Cetaceans.

The San Diego fundraiser event will take place on Sunday, October 23rd starting at 5pm at the Mission Bay Yacht Club.  Tickets are $15 and they can be purchased online or at the door.
