We need you December 5th for a big vote on the Solana Beach LCP!

In March, the California Coastal Commission approved Solana Beach's draft Local Coastal Plan (LCP), including a 20-year sunset clause on seawall permits and a timeline to complete the much anticipated "Land Lease and Recreation Fee", which was a HUGE victory for Surfrider! That victory is now under threat thanks to litigation filed by the bluff-top homeowners and their request for further changes to the LCP, after years of negotiations and multiple drafts of the LCP.

Help us uphold the Coastal Commission's decision and protect our beaches by joining us at the December 5th Solana Beach City Council meeting. The Council will be deciding whether to accept the Coastal Commission approved Local Coastal Plan, or to make further changes suggested by the relentless bluff-top homeowners. Help us show them that the beach belongs to everyone, not just bluff-top homeowners!

The meeting starts at 5:30pm and will be held at 635 South Highway 101. It is encouraged that you arrive by 5pm to get a seat in the Council Chambers as it will be packed!

Sign up through our website if you can make it. Please wear a Surfrider shirt if you have one. Talking points will be provided upon request. Seawalls steal the beach from all of us, let's show them they can't steal our beach anymore!
