Watch the Watershed Movie

Join us for our next quarterly chapter meeting on Wednesday, October 16th from 6:30-8:30pm at the newly renovated Karl Strauss Brewery Tasting Room, located at 5965 Santa Fe Street. We will meet at the tasting room, take a short tour of the brewery, then commence the meeting in the office across the parking lot. Karl Strauss will be providing beer and pizza for the meeting.

This meeting will be focused on our Ocean Friendly Gardens and Know Your H2O programs. We will be showing the award-winning documentary Watershed, which was produced and narrated by Robert Redford. The film will be followed by a few words from our committee leaders on their programs and how you can get involved.

RSVP through the Facebook event here!

Watershed tells the story of the threats to the once-mighty Colorado River and offers solutions for the future of the American West. As the most dammed, dibbed, and diverted river in the world struggles to support thirty million people and the peace-keeping agreement known as the Colorado River Pact reaches its limits, Watershed introduces hope. Can we meet the needs of a growing population in the face of rising temperatures and lower rainfall in an already arid land? Can we find harmony amongst the competing interests of cities, agriculture, industry, recreation, wildlife, and indigenous communities with rights to the water?
