For over a year, we have been promised public meetings regarding the Water Purchase Agreement for the proposed Carlsbad desalination plant and they are finally here!
Please join us at one of these meetings and wear a Surfrider t-shirt if you have one. This will be your chance to learn how the proposed desalination plant will affect rate-payers and the risks the County Water Authority is taking on with this project. You will have a chance to ask questions and show support for Surfrider's concerns as to why the County Water Authority is turning to the most expensive, most energy intensive option first, when there are better ones on the table.
