We encourage attendees to #cutCarbonForTheCoast by taking the train or bus (bus #101) to the Solana Beach station. Or by biking!
Those who don't yet own a bike - try borrowing from a friend or renting from a bike rental. This easy bike ride will be suitable for all!
Part 1 - Group Ride: Join us for a fun, easy Santa-themed bicycle ride along the beautiful coastline from Solana Beach to Cardiff-by-the-Sea and learn about how sea level rise will impact the local beaches.
Part 2 - Climate Talk: Enjoy pizza and beer at Patagonia in Cardiff with a climate talk by Dr. Bruce Bekkar to learn about coastal climate change and discuss what we can all do to prevent further drastic changes to our ocean, waves and beaches!
SCHEDULE:
2-3:30 pm Meet and mingle at Culture Brewing Co in Solana Beach. Chips and guac from Shaka Guac
3:30 pm Group bicycle ride to Cardiff-by-the-Sea with stops on the way to discuss and mark predicted levels of sea-level-rise
5:30 pm Pizza, beer, and a raffle at Patagonia in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Bring your own cup!
6:30 pm Climate talk by Dr. Bruce Bekkar
