SAVE THE DATE for the Surfrider Foundation San Diego County Chapter’s 23rd Annual Paddle for Clean Water on Sunday, September 21st from 9am-12pm in Ocean Beach.
The event will feature hundreds of surfers and ocean enthusiasts paddling around the Ocean Beach Pier in an effort to raise awareness about the need for clean water and healthy coastlines.
There will be a donation-based yoga class starting at 8:30am, free breakfast for all paddlers, guest speakers, live music, and a raffle. This year's keynote speaker will be professional surfer and world champion, environmentalist, actor, writer, producer, and Surfrider Foundation board member Shaun Tomson. The event will be followed by an after party at Wonderland Ocean Pub where participants wearing an event t-shirt will receive 15% off.
Individuals can also help raise funds to support clean water initiatives in San Diego County by visiting stayclassy.org/paddle and making a donation or starting their own fundraising page for a chance to win a Squash Tail Carbon Fiber Surfboard from Soulr Surfboards.
